Memorising one Juz a month is a realistic, motivating goal for a committed student. Here's a method that makes it achievable.
Break it into daily portions
A Juz has 20 pages. Memorising under a page a day — say half a page of new material — comfortably completes a Juz within a month, with time for revision.
Memorise at your sharpest time
For most people, that's after Fajr, when the mind is fresh and the surroundings are quiet. Protect that window for new memorisation.
Layer your revision
- New lines each morning (sabaq);
- Yesterday's and this week's lines (sabqi);
- Older Juz on rotation (manzil);
- Recite to a teacher regularly.
Stay consistent and accountable
Missing days is the main reason plans fail. A daily class and a teacher to recite to keep you on track — turning a daunting goal into a steady, achievable rhythm.
